Leicestershire & Rutland Freemasons donation in support of Rainbows Children’s Hospice

The Rainbows hospice for children and young people in Loughborough has received a generous donation of £7,750 from local Freemasons.

The donation is a result of an annual collection taken in the 79 Lodges around Leicestershire & Rutland and distributed to several local charities based within the county.

Rainbows is the only hospice for children and young people, providing vital care and support to families impacted by life-limiting conditions.

Gary Farnfield, Community Fundraiser at Rainbows said, "We can’t thank Leicestershire and Rutland Masonic Charity Association enough for their continued support and their wonderful donation of £7,750. We rely on our supporters at Rainbows to enable us to provide care for children and young people with a life-limiting condition, particularly during these times when events have been cancelled and fundraising is more difficult."

The head of the local Freemasons Peter Kinder said, “As regular contributors to Rainbows, we are delighted to once again provide a donation to help with the excellent care and support they provide to the community.
