Local Freemasons donate to help in the fight against Prostate Cancer

After a recent screening event held at the Freemasons Hall in Ashby de la Zouch, the Leicestershire & Rutland Masonic Charity Association (LRMCA) has donated £3,500 to the Fighting Prostate Cancer Campaign spearheaded by Burton Hospitals NHS Trust Consultant Macmillan Urologist, Miss Jyoti Shah.

At a special dinner hosted by Leicestershire & Rutland Freemasons, Miss Jyoti Shah was presented with the donation. The screening sessions that the donation will go towards are funded by charitable donations, and the team has seen almost 2,700 men to date with over 80 men diagnosed with prostate cancer.

On presenting the donation, Peter Kinder said, "We are so proud of the work that you and your team do, we are so pleased that we have been able to help, as you and your team have helped our members".
