New Members Double Up in Ashby

The Ferrers & Ivanhoe Lodge No.779 met at the Masonic Hall in Ashby De La Zouch on the 10th March 2020 to welcome two new members to Freemasonry.

One of the oldest Lodges in Leicestershire that is still in existence, the Ferrers & Ivanhoe Lodge held its first meeting on the 6th of October 1859, now 161 years later, the Lodge is still going strong with a healthy membership and a passion for doing good in the local community.

The two new members, seen below, were treated to an excellent performance of the story of how Masons at the time of the building of King Solomon's Temple we instructed in their work, with a delightful presentation being made to Calum McKenzie by his father Jamie, a member of the Hastings Lodge No.8695 also in Ashby.

Now as members of the Ferrers and Ivanhoe Lodge, Calum & Cameron are keen to assist the Lodge in their fundraising activities in support of local good causes and the Leicestershire & Rutland 2022 Festival.
