St Wilfrid's Lodge Provide Much Needed Face Mask Adaptors to Local Hospital

St Wilfrid's Lodge No.8350 Secretary and 2022 Festival Steward, Paul Simpson, and his wife Denise have recently delivered 50 face mask extenders to the local St Luke's Hospital in Market Harborough.

Denise runs her own ETSY shop selling Dog & Cat Bandanas and Bow Ties and found a use for all of her offcuts of material. Her daughter is presently studying at Northampton General Hospital for a Midwifery Degree, but during the suspension of her studies due to the coronavirus, she has been helping out on other wards at the hospital, which of course involves the need to wear PPE including a Face Mask. This was causing her to have painful ears having to wear the mask for the whole of her shift.

Denise posted this on her Facebook page and immediately received a request from the local hospital (St Lukes) in Market Harborough to provide fifty face mask adaptors for their nursing staff. Denise and Paul sprang into action, and the order was made within a few days and hand-delivered.

The nursing staff were very grateful for this small contribution to their well being at this difficult time. As one of the nursing staff commented "No more sore ears!"
