What is the My Friends feature in Portal?
My Friends lets you quickly connect with other Brethren and Companions you meet, so their details are stored in your Portal app rather than on scraps of paper or old summonses.
How do I add a new friend using the QR code?
One person taps “Generate QR code” in the My Friends section, the other taps “Scan QR” in their Portal app and points the camera at the code – once you see the confirmation message, you are connected in each other’s Friends list.
Can I add notes about where I met someone?
Yes. After you have connected, you can add a short note against that friend’s entry in your list, for example where you met them or which meeting you attended together.
Who can see my contact details when I use My Friends?
Portal uses the same privacy settings as the rest of your profile, so only those you have allowed (Private, Unit, Province or Global) can see your phone number or email address.
