The Leicestershire & Rutland Masonic Golf Association enjoyed a superb day of golf on Thursday 9th July 2026, as members gathered at Kirby Muxloe Golf Club for their latest summer event. With temperatures soaring throughout the day, the conditions proved both challenging and memorable for the 15 competitors who took part.
The heat was so intense that even some of the most seasoned players were tested, with one competitor needing to retire after nine holes due to sheer exhaustion. Despite the weather, spirits remained high and the day was marked by excellent golf and great fellowship among Masonic golfers from across the Province.
Competition Results
Winners: D. Thornber & O. Thornber — 49 points
Second Place: G. Elliott & S. Seal — 41 points
Third Place: P. Dawson & K. Elliott — 38 points
Congratulations go to all the prize‑winners, and sincere thanks to every brother who made the effort to take part. The event once again demonstrated the value of these gatherings, not only for the golf itself, but for the opportunity to meet and enjoy the company of fellow Masons who share a passion for the sport.
