On Wednesday 7th July, Pete Williamson and his wife Jean presented a generous £3,200 donation to The Robbie Anderson Cancer Trust at the Teenage Cancer Trust Unit (Ward 27) at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The donation comprised £1,600 raised at the Provincial Grand Chapter Annual Meeting in March, matched by a further £1,600 from the Leicestershire & Rutland Freemasons Charity, a combined effort reflecting the Royal Arch and Craft Province’s ongoing commitment to supporting young people facing cancer.
During the visit, Pete and Jean met with representatives from the charity and hospital team. Ward Sister Katie Agar expressed her gratitude, confirming that the donation will be used to install a much‑needed shower unit on the ward, a practical improvement that will directly benefit young patients receiving treatment.
This contribution continues the strong partnership between local Freemasons and organisations supporting cancer care across Leicestershire and Rutland.
