Provincial Grand Lodge 2025 Celebrated in Leicester

Freemasons from across Leicestershire and Rutland gathered at Freemasons’ Hall, Leicester, for the meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge 2025, the annual meeting bringing together members from both counties.

The well-attended meeting marked an important occasion in the Masonic calendar, recognising and rewarding members for their dedicated service to their individual lodges, to the Province, and to Freemasonry as a whole. Many were honoured for their commitment, reflecting the strong spirit of service and community that underpins Freemasonry across the counties.

The event was led by the head of Leicestershire and Rutland Freemasons, Peter Kinder, who took the opportunity to invest his new team of Provincial officers for the forthcoming year. The installation signalled the beginning of a new chapter for the Province, with officers drawn from a wide range of lodges and backgrounds.

Attending the meeting from the United Grand Lodge of England was the Assistant Grand Master, John Thompson, who had made the special journey to join in the celebrations, which were witnessed by over 270 members, and to enjoy the superb meal afterwards.

Speaking during the meeting, Peter Kinder expressed his appreciation to all those involved in organising the event. “Today has been the result of much planning, for which I thank all those involved in the preparations and running of the day,” he said.

The Provincial Grand Lodge meeting once again highlighted the strength, unity, and ongoing commitment of Freemasons in Leicestershire and Rutland, as they look ahead to another year of charitable work, fellowship, and service to their communities.
