Commercial Lodge 1391 supports Heart Link Children’s Charity with memorial donation

On behalf of Commercial Lodge 1391, Paul Bodell recently made a presentation to Heart Link Children's Charity, based at Glenfield Hospital and closely connected with its specialist child heart care unit.
The presentation was made to the charity’s Vice Chair, Graeme Williams, alongside specialist care nurses who support children and families attending cardiac services. A donation of £300 was handed over to assist the charity’s ongoing work supporting families and raising funds for children’s heart care in the region.
A gift made in memory
This donation was made in memory of the late and lamented John V. Muggleston, a member of the lodge, and followed the wishes of his family that any charitable giving in his name should support a local Leicestershire heart-related cause. The Lodge was honoured to help fulfil that request by directing the donation to a charity with a direct and meaningful link to cardiac care in the county.

Following the presentation, Heart Link shared its appreciation and provided an official certificate of thanks, signed on behalf of the charity by Geoff W Smart MBE, recognising the Lodge’s support and the value of the donation.
