Double Exaltation at Knights of Malta Chapter No. 50

Knights of Malta Chapter No. 50 enjoyed a truly memorable evening on Wednesday 7th May, as the Chapter conducted its first-ever double Exaltation.

Rob Lewis and Paul Brown were exalted together in an evening that was both impressive and deeply moving. Both companions expressed how struck they were by the warmth of the companionship that followed. The evening continued in fine style at the festive board, where 36 Companions dined, including 7 visitors, creating a lively and fraternal atmosphere.

The Chapter was also delighted to welcome Ricky Morris and Ted Yeomans as joining members, strengthening the ranks and adding to the sense of celebration.

During the meeting, an overview of the Sojourner’s Diary initiative, explaining its purpose and value to new Companions was given by Peter Gibson-Leitch. Diaries were then formally presented to the newly members, marking the beginning of their Royal Arch journey.

Looking ahead, the Chapter is already preparing for another special evening in October, when we will conduct a second double Exaltation, this time for Tony Butterworth and Nathan Barson, both of Burbach Lodge. For the First Principal, the occasion will be especially meaningful, having introduced Tony into Burbach a decade ago, it will be a privilege to now complete his journey into the Royal Arch.
