
Lord Mayor of Leicester Visits Historic Freemasons’ Hall

Leicester, 30th June 2025 — The Lord Mayor of Leicester, Councillor Teresa Aldred, accompanied by her Consort, Maggie Corley, paid a special visit to Freemasons’ Hall in Leicester on Monday, 30th June 2025.
During their visit, the Lord Mayor and her Consort were warmly welcomed by the Provincial team of Leicestershire & Rutland Freemasons. They were given a guided tour of the historic Freemasons’ Hall and its museum, which showcases the rich heritage and longstanding traditions of Freemasonry in the region.
Peter Kinder, the Head of Leicestershire & Rutland Freemasons, expressed his pride in hosting the civic guests. “It is a great honour to show the Lord Mayor around our wonderful premises here in Leicester,” he said. “We are always pleased to share the history and community work of Freemasonry with our local leaders.”
The visit highlighted the ongoing relationship between the Freemasons and the wider Leicester community, reflecting a shared commitment to service, heritage, and civic engagement.
