The Hinckley Lodge of Installed Masters No. 9972 Banner Dedication

A special meeting was held on Thursday September 2025 at the Hinckley Masonic Hall to dedicate the Lodge banner. The lodge was consecrated, at Freemasons Hall Leicester, on May 23rd, 2019, meeting twice each year in May and November at the Hinckley Masonic Hall.

The lodge had raised funds through its members to purchase the banner, and its design pays homage to Earl Howe and his family. The Banner Dedication Officer was Deputy Provincial Grand Master Philip Dodd, ably assisted by Bro. Bob Stephen as Chaplain. Over sixty brethren of the lodge and visitors witnessed a moving and informative ceremony, the like of which most would not have previously been privileged to see.

The formal ceremony was followed by an excellent festive board at which the celebrations continued. At the conclusion of which, Stephen Knight, the master presented a gift to Philip on behalf of the lodge and announced that the lodge would be awarding him with honorary membership, both as thanks for his help, guidance and for undertaking such a wonderful ceremony.
